One of the most successful movies of the eighties from bollywood was undoubtedly Mr India. The story of Arun (Anil Kapoor) a good hearted guy raising a whole bunch of orphans and struggling to make both ends meet.He decides to rent out a room in his home to earn some extra cash and the person renting from him turns out to be Seema (Sridevi) who hates kids and noise which leads to some hilarious sequences. In the meanwhile his property is being targeted by Mr Mogambo ( Amrish Puri) and his goons and they keep trying to get Arun and all the kids thrown out of the their home. In order to battle with the bad guys Arun makes use of a gadget his father invented which makes him invisible when wearing it.The rest of the movie comprises of Arun's battle with the goons and with Seema falling in love with the invisible man not knowing that it is Arun himself.
Apparently a sequel to Mr India is being planned and it is said to be produced by Boney Kapoor (Sridevi's husband in real life ) and Manmohan Shetty. There is no information on the director of the new film.I presume that it will have both Anil Kapoor and Sridevi in the lead roles again.
This should be interesting to watch if for nothing than to see how they proceed with this story and to see what kind of sequences they incorporate considering the advancements in technology that will be afforded to the new director.

This is the first time I am hearing about the sequel to Mr.India, what a good movie that was, general feel-good one.
Impatiently waiting for the movie.I just very curious to see their (Anil&Sridevi)on screen chemistry again.
A sequel of Mr India! The audience expectation is going to be so high that unless the movie is at least as good as the first one it will be a big disappointment.
Yes Mitr_bayarea,Mr India was the ultimate family type entertainer..good fun !
Yep It will be interesting to see Anil and Sridevi together, although more interested in seeing Sridevi on large screen again !
Yep, Shekhar Kapoor direction will be a tough act to follow for the sequel..hope it matches up to the expectations !
